Once a book is filled, there is a prepaid envelope secured to the back of the cover which will allow the book to return home. Once we receive the completed book we'll create digital, high res copies that will be distributed to everyone who participated for free!
But how will you know who participated and how to contact them?!
Via the website! [link] The books direct people to this website where they can sign in as Sketchers. All someone has to do is provide their name, email and locaction (so we can keep track of where the books have been). We'll email the digital copies to the Sketchers when they are ready.
The website [link] also hosts many other ways of being apart of the project. You can follow the books travel using the site's Sketchbook Map. The site's Blog will be updated with ideas for stuff to do in the book and ways to expand the Roaming Art project. You can also become a member of the site, which give access to posting questions, ideas or your art on the forums.
Ok this journal is getting long enough, so I'll save it for another time. If you'd like to learn more or be a part of the project check out the site, leave some feedback and spread the word. We have plans on releasing many more books as time goes on, so if you'd like to get one make it known over on the site and we'll try to get you in on the project!

A bunch of people are asking how they can participate and get in on a book. The best answer I can give is to watch the website. That's where we'll let you know where the books are and if someone that has a book doesn't know who to give it to, we'll try to hook up people that are looking to participate. So the best bet would be to check out our site and comment that you're looking to participate.
For now, we expect that the 3 books currently moving around arn't going to leave the US, but it's possible. We plan to release more books, some smaller which we'd be willing to send to people who show their interest in the project on the site.
Sorry for the long winded answer haha, hope that answered your question! = )

Still of a winter's night, they say, when the wind is in the trees,
When the moon is a ghostly galleon, tossed upon the cloudy seas,
When the road is a ribbon of moonlight over the purple moor,
A highwayman comes riding, riding...
